Can anyone recommend a good English speaking Taipei dentist? What does cosmetic dentistry cost?

I will be in Taipei next month and would like to get a bunch of dental work done as I have heard it is cheaper than in the States. I need 3 crowns, some fillings done and would like to have some cosxmetic bonding done. Can anyone recommend a good English speaking dentist who won't rip off Americans?

I have been going to this dentist since the last 5 yrs for me and my kids. The doctor speaks and understand fairly well English. She is a lady dentist, honest and have tons of patience. The staffs are friendly. I would recommend her. Call to find out and compare prices.

Reply:Plenty of dentists in Taipei speak relatively good English. Charges are honest and I have not heard of anyone being rip off in a dental clinic. However, dental charges for foreigners are different from residents who are covered by the National Insurance. A root canal treatment + crown cost starts from NT$8000 (US$245) depending on the crown quality. You probably need an average of 4-5 visits to get the job done.

If you are looking for cheap dental service, try India.
