I have been legally separated for almost 3 years, and have been paying a ton of spousal support, even though my ex makes good money. She pulled a fast one during our show cause hearing by being 'inbetwen' jobs' and was awarded minimum wage by the court (she typically makes between 65-85K per year). We're going back to court soon so I can reduce the spousal support. She has had breast enlargement surgery, cosmetic dentistry, and has taken numerous vacations. How do judges typically look upon this stuff, even though they are largely biased towards women to begin with?
Alimony and breast enlargement surgery - California?
When adjusting support, the court will look at the income of both parties.
Spousal Support? That reminds me of a quote from Reynaldo Rey "It is like paying for a car you can't drive".
If she is making between 65-85k, she is self sufficient. Unless of course you're making 250k, then you're screwed.
Reply:The court could care less about her b**bs or teeth. When I went to court I had to produce 6months of pay stubs and she brought 1 with about 14 hrs on it. She is an RN and makes more than I do, but they don't care.
Reply:at least she cares more about herself now without you, jealous
