Is the gel product that is used for whitening in cosmetic dentistry safe?

It also involves a uv light I think but I'm not too sure...Is this safe for your teeth?

It IS, technically, a safe product to use..but over time..and several uses, it can weaken the enamel on your teeth (not to mention it can increase tooth sensitivity).
Reply:Yes, if dentists use it its safe.
Reply:Well, if the dentist does it, it's safe. I wouldn't buy any whiteners over ebay or anything like that though.
Reply:would you believe that the number one ingredient in teeth whitening products is baking soda?.. some of the makers use titanium dixiode.. which by the way is extremely toxic.. now of the two.. which would you prefer? if you want white teeth.. go buy a box of baking soda and brush you teeth with it.. and see how clean they will feel as well.. don't take my word for it.. google it and see for yourself.. good luck
