Have you considered traveling outside the country to have your work done? Depending on how much work you need done, it can save you a ton of money. I am having my entire mouth restored with crowns in two months in Mexico. The dentists are certified by colleges in the U.S., and the price is much cheaper. For everything (dental work, accomodations, gas), it will cost me around $7,000 to have done what a dentist in the U.S. wanted to charge me nearly $40,000 to do. Check around the border towns and see if there a dentist you like. Even if you only need a few caps or just a couple of root canals, it can still pay to consider crossing the border.
Reply:You may want to consider a dental discount plan. It will save you alot of money on the work that you need to get done. AmeriPlan has a great dental plan and its only 19.95 a month to receive savings of up to 80% on all dental procedures. There are no credit checks with this program, no copays, no deductibles, no limits. Lots of local providers.

Reply:Look into a local school of dentistry. I don't know if they do cosmetic work or just health-related dental work for dental health. You may get the services at a fraction of the cost. You can also contact your local dental society to get the names of dentists that provide free, low-cost and sliding scale care. Most cities, states and some counties have societies. They are usually named after their prospective city, state or county.
