Should i get cosmetic dentistry?

i really want straight whit teeth, any reasons not too?

Should i get cosmetic dentistry?
Yes!!!!!!
Reply:With your teeth I think you should.
Reply:go on then.
Reply:No! If you think it will boost your confidence go ahead huni =]
Reply:Go for it, just make sure to check to see what the effects are (eg will there be any damage to the teeth? (if you choose to) Have braces, easy to maintain? etc.) I've heard some teeth whitening products can cause damage to your teeth, so just be sure to check.
Reply:I want to do this too, not straighten, just whiten! Someone told me to use Jif on my teeth yesterday...Lol...I would'nt recommend....

You can get it done for about £200 in your local dentist, but if you want straight teeth, ask your dentist for a brace...

I'm sure you don't need it, but its one of those things..when you want it, you've got to have it!!! lol

Hope you get it sorted...

Reply:Nope!

When I've got the money I'm definately going to!I smashed my front teeth out a few years ago, dentist tried to sort em out but I hate them! (Everyone else thinks they look fine) But I can't wait till I get the money to get cosmetic dentistry!

If ya not happy with ya teeth then go for it!

I know I am one day!
Reply:If you feel like it and you can afford it,and feel it would add to your presence, then go for it.
Reply:None at all. Get them done and then look after them. Good luck, nothing nicer than a nice smile
Reply:You definitely should, nobody deserves to walk around looking like disgusting crap. Also I suggest plastic surgery to fix the rest of your face.
Reply:I wouldnt go straight into it, do some sort of research first. I was told by my family dentist (dentist of 25yrs) that cosmetic dentistry is not just a fix it procedure. After it is done it changes your bite, your teeth wont be as strong as real tooth enamel and not many people think about the costs of wear and tear.If your teeth are healthy then I would not advice you to get a whole mouth makeover. But, if you really want it, do as little as possible and be aware of the ongoing costs that are unpredictable in the future.
Reply:go for it - if you not scared of dentists like me !! if it makes you feel good about your self and more confident then it cant be a bad thing :0)
Reply:Yes go ahead and get it done if you want. Just be careful not to get ripped off by a high priced dentist. Check all over the web and consider all possible solutions. Let your local dentists know that you are doing this so they will have no chance of overcharging you.

Some people are even finding it less expensive to travel overseas to get the work done. So they are coming up with the concept of a dental vacation. Here's such a link offering something like this:

Experience mystic India AND get your teeth fixed...don't u love it?.......LOL
Reply:there are no reasons don't too.

if your teeth are very crossed over then it can make hard for you to clean them. plaque and tartar can build up around the teeth which you will find it hard to remover yourself.

also this will destroy the bone under the gums and after a time your teeth will become lose.

if there are don't badly crossed over them don't change them.

to have this done you are looking at £2000-£5000. the treatment can be around 2 years long, which is why the cost is so high.

if you want whiting them you are looking at £200-£400 and they are two different ways of doing it in-house or out-house the cost are different in-house the price will go up.

talk to your dentist and DN to see what they thing.

the treatment will of the NHS.

Reply:Go for it.....There is a new laser whitening service I think it costs #200 a session r you could have caps.....The caps are expensive but I had them done years ago and they are still fine. They file your own teeth to points and cement the caps onto it. Took about two weeks from start to finish......I just hope they stay in when I die if anyone digs me up they will think they have found a bloody vampire...lol
Reply:if you have the money why not ?

if you go with normal braces you can risk bad gum recession because the gums cant keep up with the rapid movement of the teeth (like i now have and wish id stayed with my crooked teeth instead of risking loosing my teeth altogether).

but veneers and things like that shouldnt cause any risks like those because they are placing the things over your teeth and your teeth dont have to psychically move (but make sure you brush your teeth extra well or plaque can build around the margins of the veneers).

if you go private and someone is actually doing their jobs and checking on things then why not???
Reply:i think cosmetic dentistry is a good idea. i would be tempted to have it done if i could afford it.

i think its competely different to plastic surgery. plastic surgury can make u look cheap and fake, dentistry can make u look dazzling :-) go for it!
Reply:If you do not have any health issues with your teeth, avoid any cosmetic dentistry procedures. If your job profile is such (corporate executive, model, movie star, etc) that you have to look extra smart/presentable, go ahead and get it done without hesitation as may be affordable. To to make it really affordable, search for your Hollywood Dream Smile Designing in India.
Reply:You will need the cash I'm afraid, this is only available privately. Other than that, no reason not to.
